TICKETS for the official 2014 Mardi Gras Party are now on sale.
Dubbed as “the only place to be after the parade” by Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras organisers, the event will take place at Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter and Playbill Venues on March 1, 2014.
The Mardi Gras Party promises to deliver a diverse selection of Australian and international DJs spinning across several party spaces, along with spectacular live shows and performances.
The first headliner announced for the party is New York DJ Kim Ann Foxman, who will bring her brand of soulful house to Sydney on the back of a successful international tour, which included sellout shows in Japan, Cologne and Chicago.
Meanwhile, Australia’s DJ Dan Slater will keep bodies moving with a set of dance tunes and remixes, which have been honed to perfection over the course of his recent European tour. Slater started his DJ career as a winner of the Mardi Gras DJ Spin-Off Competition that resulted in him spinning at the 2012 Mardi Gras Party.
Making her Mardi Gras debut will be Yo! M.A.F.I.A. The self-proclaimed hip-hop junkie has been on the festival circuit for more than 15 years, DJing with international acts like Missy Elliot and Lady Gaga. Her music is a mix of hip-hop, RnB, booty bass, electro and house.
More additions to the lineup of the Mardi Gras Party, which is a major fundraiser for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade and Festival, will be announced over the coming months.
The tickets, which went on sale at 9am today, are being sold at first release price and there is a limited allocation available at that price.
Friends with Benefits members would have received an email yesterday with a code to purchase member-priced tickets.
Tickets can be purchased at www.theparty.org.au
The full 2014 festival line up will be launched on December 10.
