MQFF call for entries

The Melbourne Queer Film Festival is inviting submissions to its 19th Film Festival in 2009, to be held from 18-29 March.

Each year the festival screens over 150 features, shorts, documentaries and experimental films from Australia and around the world over 11 days. It is Australia’s largest, oldest and most successful queer film festival.

Films and videos can be of any length and should be of interest to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered communities.

There is over $9000 in the cash prize pool, including the jury-voted City of Melbourne Award for Best Australian Short Film ($2000), and audience awards for Best Feature ($5000) and Documentary ($1000).

The deadline for entries is December 5, 2008.
