DRUG DEPENDENCY TREATMENT TRIAL

Community members experiencing dependency problems with drugs such as crystal, ecstasy and cocaine are being sought by Sydney South West Area Health Service for a new treatment trial. The double-blind drug trial will take place over four weeks, and participants will be offered four sessions of cognitive behaviour therapy. BGF BAKE-OFF REGISTRATION OPENS

The annual fan-forced fundraiser is calling for entrants for the 20th anniversary Bake-Off to raise money for the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation. SAME-SEX MARRIAGE FORUM

Community Action Against Homophobia will be launching its 2007 same-sex marriage campaign with a public forum to be held on the lower ground floor of ACON, 9 Commonwealth St, on 20 June from 6:30pm.

BAPTIST SPEAKER FOR FREEDOM 2 B (E)

p>The network for GLBT people from Pentecostal and Charismatic backgrounds is hosting guest speaker Pastor Mike Hercock from the Baptist Church in Darlinghurst at their forum this Friday 1 June. Hercock will discuss welcoming gay and lesbian Christians into his church. The forum will be held on the second floor of ACON from 7:15pm. For further details call 9699 2448.

NEWCASTLE POSITIVE VIEW FORUM

The Karumah Positive Living Centre is hosting a forum on 15 June in collaboration with ACON Hunter and the NSW Users and AIDS Association. The forum will focus on how drug and alcohol, and mental health issues impact on people with HIV/AIDS. The forum will be held from 9am at the Gateway Hotel, Maitland Road, Islington.
