Labor MP Tanya Plibersek said she felt betrayed by shadow attorney-general Nicola Roxon’s announcement yesterday that Labor would let the ban on gay marriage pass before the Senate inquiry ends.

“I think it’s terrible. It doesn’t reflect the decision we made in the Labor Party caucus to send this legislation off to a committee,” Plibersek told Sydney Star Observer.
