Preide Week a success
The first week of Pride has been a success, Stonewall Hotel’s Glenn Hansen has reported, with the event only set to get bigger ahead of the official anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
Events have been sold out and the annual Orgy of Drag at the Stonewall raised $5000 for ACON, Hansen said.
The launch went well and the first week has been pretty exciting. The event at The Inner City Legal Centre went well, and supposedly the party at the Ivy was massive, he said.
A lot of the older people have told me they’re really glad to have Pride back and have come up and said thank you, and told me how excited they are about it. Then there are other younger people who are just excited there are parties on, so the feedback has been very positive.
