Queer Screen seeks all the lovers

Queer Screen seeks all the lovers

Queer Screen last week launched its annual membership drive, with funds needed to help the organisation screen LGBTI cinema from around the world and support local film makers.

This year, Queer Screen’s goal is to raise $30,000, which would enable them to properly deliver next year’s Mardi Gras Film Festival, to facilitate more practitioner development, project commissions and DIY filmmaking workshop, and to return the popular but now QueerDOC LGBTI documentary film festival to screen.

Given that 2013 marks Queer Screen’s 20th anniversary as Australia’s first LGBTI screen organisation, they are seeking 20 ‘True Loves’ during the donation drive. True Love Patrons are those who pledge a donation of $500 or above, and will be credited as such in all Queer Screen media as well as treated to some special event engagements in the lead up to QueerDOC 2012 and Mardi Gras Film Festival 2013.

In addition, Queer Screen is seeking pledgers to join their Top 100 Club, formed in 2010. Donate $100 or above and you will be invited to the next Top 100 special event and receive a full name acknowledgement in all Queer Screen media.
