SBS wants your story

SBS is looking for members of the GLBTIQ community to participate in a new program and share their stories with the rest of Australia.

Behind the Front Door will attempt to bring neighbours together to combat the contemporary quagmire of not really knowing who lives next door to you. Behind the Front Door looks for these stories and lets neighbours take a peek into each other’s homes and lives.

The show aims to encourage the viewer to think more about the people who live around them and whether they know their neighbours as well as they might.

SBS is focused on human interest stories, particularly those which educate the community about cultural and social diversity and serve to broaden the audience’s understanding of those around them. They’ve yet to receive much interest from the GLBTIQ community and would love to receive more expressions of interest.

The program is looking for people from Sydney and surrounding areas who have an interesting story to tell.
