SGLBA seeks new directors

On 26 August the SGLBA will hold its AGM at The Supper Club at the Oxford Hotel, followed by the launch of its new website.

This year’s AGM is a significant event for the SGLBA, SGLBA president Scott Quine said.

Not only do we have several board positions open for election, but we will also be launching our new website.

We had feedback from members who were looking for more from the website. So we took the decision to make the investment and make the website truly world class. This will be its first outing.

Paul Lee Maynard, the SGLBA director responsible for the website, said the website was designed to cater to all the group’s members.

The new website has enhanced features for our members, will lead to increased traffic to the site, and improves the operational efficiency of the SGLBA for future expansion. It’s a great step, he said.

There will also be a green spin to the evening with guest speaker Danny Morgan, who owns and operates Surry Hills Boxing, Australia’s first eco-friendly gym that generates its own electricity from exercise.

We’re delighted to have Danny speak on the night, Quine said.

Danny will discuss topics relating to getting started in small business in the environmental space, and we will hear about his latest projects in this field.

The AGM will be held on 26 August at The Supper Club, Levels 1 and 2, 134 Oxford St Darlinghurst, from 6pm. The website launch will follow at 7pm and will cost $25 for members and $40 non-members.
