Sleaze Ball 2010 will be held on Saturday, October 2.
New Mardi Gras has confirmed on Facebook and Twitter today that the dance party will be held 10pm-6am on the October long weekend.
No theme or venue has been announced as yet.
The news comes as the organisaiton opens up debate about the content of the parade to the community.
“It’s clear to New Mardi Gras that we have to work towards putting more money and energy into aspects of the parade like creative and community development; floats; community entries and marching groups, as well as the sparkle: fireworks, lighting, audio,” NMG board member Siri May wrote in Sydney Star Observer two weeks ago.
“We’re excited to hear everything the community has to say about the parade, warts and all. Alongside community critique, we hope to hear ideas that look to the future, incorporating new energy and directions.
“We’re asking about six key topics: the parade’s purpose; who should participate; what’s good; what’s bad; what can be improved; and how it should be funded.”
