DRAGON BOATERS

The newly formed Dragon Boat Club, Different Strokes, will hold a social evening for its current and prospective members on 22 May at the Norfolk Hotel, 305 Cleveland St, Surry Hills, from 7.30pm. Following this there will be an official registration day held on 31 May, also at the Norfolk Hotel, from 2pm to 5pm. All interested parties will be welcome to officially join the club.

GET TOGETHER

The second round of the 2008 Volleyball West Cup Series will be held on Sunday 25 May. Anyone with an interest in volleyball is invited to join in, irrespective of skill level. Teams from around Sydney, NSW and the ACT will all descend on the Penrith Sports Stadium, Herbert St, Cambridge Park, for a day of varied round games, best of three sets and cross overs. There is no need to be a part of a team already. Individuals who turn up on the day can be placed in teams that meet their skill levels. Registration is $200 for a team or $33 for an individual registration. To join, call Joe on 0414 407 766.

SNAP A BASEBALLER

The Sydney Women’s Baseball League is running a photo competition for spectators who have managed to snap a great shot at a game. Send any shots you’ve taken to [email protected] for the chance to win a bottle of wine from The Little Wine Company.

BENTSTIX HOCKEY

The Bentstix Hockey Club men’s team trains every Monday from 6.30pm at Kyeemagh Hockey Field, Tancred Ave, Kyeemagh, and plays every Saturday in the Sydney Hockey Association competition. If you’re interested in joining, email [email protected].

FLYING BATS
