SSO appoints new editor
Stacy Farrar was appointed editor of Sydney Star Observer at a meeting of SSO Media board members this week.
Farrar has worked in the editorial department of Sydney Star Observer since 2002, including a stint as news editor and acting editor.
After studying journalism at the University of South Australia, Farrar worked as a journalist at News Ltd in Adelaide and Sydney.
The Star is much more than just another gay paper, Farrar said.
Like the Mardi Gras parade, it is a part of Sydney’s cultural make-up. We have a wonderful team and I am excited to be a part of creating Australia’s best and most-respected gay and lesbian newspaper.
