Sydney’s gay and lesbian partygoers can look forward to a big New Year’s Eve, with large-scale dance events, diva-fuelled club parties and much more on offer.

The Resolution party at The Metro will feature an array of DJ talent including Tim Blanshard, Kate Monroe and Sista P, and Melbourne vocal act Deepface will perform. Tickets are $85 plus booking fee or $99 on the door. Book on 9550 3666.

Over on Oxford Street the Midnight Shift will host Evolve, with DJs Shigeki and Wayne G. The dress code is Evolved and advance tickets cost $50 from the venue.

Slide will host an homage to divas and other camp favourites with its Super Soda Party. Expect to hear hits by the likes of Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue, Cher and George Michael. Tickets are $20 plus booking fee through www.moshtix.com.au.

Divas will also star at Stonewall, which is promising a range of drag spot numbers to see in 2007. The Colombian is also hosting a New Year’s Eve party featuring a range of DJs.

At Taylor Square, Arq will host the United NYE party, billed as a super party of trance, hard dance music and plenty of DJs. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 on the door. Manacle will hold its regular Bent party on New Year’s Eve. For more information visit www.manacle.com.au.

In the inner west Mitzi Macintosh will help the Imperial Hotel celebrate with a midnight countdown. There will also be DJs and various drag shows and entry is free.

New Year’s Day also has plenty of party offerings, including the popular Toybox party at the Hordern Pavilion. Matt Steer, Luke Leal and Dan Murphy are some of the DJs who will play. Tickets are $137.50 plus booking fee from www.toyboxparty.com.au.

The Midnight Shift will host leather and denim party Indulgence. Advance tickets from the venue are $40. Meanwhile Homesexual has a tropical-themed New Years’ Gay party. Tickets are $39 plus booking fee through www.homesexual.com.au.

Arq’s New Year’s Day Night party will star US DJ Joe Bermudez and others. Advance tickets are $25 for members and $30 for non-members, or $35 on the door. Manacle will open on New Year’s Day from 7am for its Dawn To Dusk party. The DJ line-up includes Mark Alsop and Sandi Hotrod.
