Stonewall turns 12

The Stonewall Hotel has provided Oxford St with superb entertainment and a place for the GLBT community to call home and this Friday, August 21, the venue will celebrate its 12th birthday.
Celebrating the day with a Bed Buddies party, each of the venue’s levels will have a different theme -” the public bar will be turned into a fraternity-meets-Playboy-mansion party, the cocktail bar into a pyjama party and the VIP bar into a men’s-only underwear party.
We are definitely making it a party for everyone and I think the highlight will be it all coming together to give people a great night out,  said Stonewall Hotel’s promotions and marketing manager Glenn Hansen.
The boys-only underwear party is a new concept for Stonewall. We know a lot of the Stonewall boys like taking their clothes off, so let’s give them a space to do it.
The Stonewall Hotel is proud of reaching this milestone and would like to thank everyone for making the venue a success.
Stonewall has played a major role in the community and prides itself on its name and believes in equality for everyone. We believe in supporting the charities and educating people while giving them a safe place to party, he said.
I think Stonewall has lasted because what you see is what you get. You can go to Stonewall any night of the week and get great music, a crowd and a show.
