Organisers and researchers of the Just Sensational Queer Histories of Western Sydney exhibition in Liverpool Regional Museum are holding a talk and tea dance this Saturday 30 November. For just $5 attendees will be fed and entertained. DIVA winner and famous western Sydney drag performer Beverly Buttercup will speak about her life and charity work from 2pm. Kent Gryphon, ACON West Youth Education Officer and one of 2001’s five sexiest men in Sydney, will also speak about his life and work. The talks will be followed by a demonstration from Gay Games gold medallist dance group CBD, dancing lessons and a great Australian barbecue. People heading to the talk and tea dance need to RSVP before the event on 9602 0315. The Just Sensational Queer Histories of Western Sydney exhibition tells the story of ordinary and extraordinary men and women who have lived gay and in the western suburbs. The exhibition was part of the Gay Games cultural festival and is running until 1 March 2003 at the Liverpool Regional Museum. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
