The many faces of German drag.
The German inspiration for the classic drag film Some Like It Hot will be showing as part of the GerMANY Faces Australia arts festival – running 10 September to 20 October.
The 1951 film Fanfaren der Liebe (Fanfares of Love) stars Dieter Borsche and Georg Thomalla (pictured) as two out-of-work musicians who pose as women to join an all-girl band.
The comedy – with English subtitles – is screening at the Chauvel Cinema on 2 October. Tickets are available at the box office or at www.moshtix.com.au.
