Turtle Cove refutes ‘straight’ claims

Turtle Cove Beach Resort in Queensland claims it has been the victim of incorrect media reports that it was “going straight”.

The resort, located between the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, released a statement today seeking to put the myths to bed.

The statement said the venue had no intention of moving away from its core business as a GLBT resort and is aiming to continue its lead as one of Australia’s premier gay destinations and re-establish itself as the ‘Best Gay Resort in the World’.

The new owners have almost completed a refurbishment of the entire resort including upgrades to its beachfront suites and coral-sea-view deluxe rooms, as well as a heated pool, renovated bathrooms, a new gymnasium and decks to be built by the end of the year. The gardens and surroundings have also had an extensive makeover.

  1. I was at Turtle Cove in March and absolutely loved the place..so much so i’m going back in August. It is something of a getaway haven. I couldn’t of been more looked after if they tried. This is not because i am something of a minor celebrity(friend of Also award winner,Luke Gallagher) It’s because that’s what they do. You should do yourself a favour and get up there for Cairns Pride in August, Or stay in Melbourne in the cold and rain. I’ll see you by the pool….love Dolly.
