UN vote on gay rights

The United Nations will vote this Friday on whether to allow gay and lesbian rights groups to have consultative status at the UN.It is not known how Australia will vote on the issue, with a spokesperson for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs telling Sydney Star Observer the measure was still under consideration by the government.Four LGBT groups, including the International Lesbian and Gay Association, are seeking the consultative status which would allow the groups to address the UN.
