ChillOut to go ahead
Following the sudden announcement late last week that the ChillOut Festival had shed two board members and parted ways with event mangement company the Adam Lowe Group, ChillOut president Adam Wright has vowed the 2010 ChillOut festival will go ahead as planned.
“We’ve always been a volunteer run festival, so next year will simply be the same,” he told Southern Star.
“I’ve got great confidence in the team and we’re looking forward to a great ChillOut in 2010.”
Wright would not be drawn on what caused the split between the ChillOut committee and Adam Lowe Group, saying he was bound by a confidentiality agreement.
Wright paid tribute to outgoing members Geoffrey True and Jim Culbertson, who announced their departure from the committee last week.
