Gay rights group Equal Love is holding a fundraising launch party at the Xchange Hotel this Sunday.

The event will mark the official launch of the 2009 National Day of Action for same-sex marriage and will feature a stellar line-up of local queer performers and identities including drag divas Lucy Loosebox, Kaye Sera and Dolly Diamond, singer-songwriter Brad Schmidt, and cabaret comedian SuperGirly.
The event kicks off at 7pm, and all proceeds from the $10 cover charge go to Equal Love’s campaign for same-sex marriage.

The following Friday, Xchange launches a competition that’s set to warm up winter -” Lucy’s Manhunt, a beauty contest with a difference. Lucy Loosebox is on the hunt for men with the looks, smarts and personality to compete for the chance to win a huge cash prize over several weeks of competition. Details:
