Back in the late ’90s a small bar in Flinders Lane started holding gay one-nighters with outrageous themes.

Melbourne’s gay community came out in force, decked out in costumes inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, voodoo, jungle and many more.

Now, Jet Lounge is still going strong, with its next party happening on Sunday August 30 at the newly renovated Greyhound Hotel front and upstairs bar.

Featuring original Jet DJ Jason Prior, Josh, Mike Evans and others, this party is set to take off into the skies, celebrating the 40th birthdays of three high-flying Jet family members, Brian, Sally and Jeremy.
