Melbourne queer youth social group Minus18 will host a special formal night in April for those 21-years and under.
There’ll be no banning of same-sex couples at this event, with a rare chance to turn the tables by covering the dancefloor with gay and lesbian singles and pairs.
The formal will be held on Saturday, April 17 from 5.30pm and includes live entertainment, a sit-down dinner and chance to meet other young queer people.
The event is drug- and alcohol-free and friendly enough for those wanting to arrive solo or as part of a group.
Minus18 is the largest Melbourne social and support group for queer teens and hosts events throughout the year.
Tickets for the formal are $40 or $35 for early birds. Sponsored tickets are also available for no- or low-income young people.
