Rainbow Report going off air

Rainbow Report going off air

After four years in its current incarnation, JOY 94.9’s Rainbow Report will broadcast its final show this month.

The weekly GLBTI news and current affairs show is headed by journalist, broadcaster and Southern Star columnist Doug Pollard.

Changing format through the years from a news bulletin to a weekly one-hour current affairs report, the final Rainbow Report will air on Thursday, June 25 from 7-8pm.

But far from hanging up his headphones, Pollard will launch a new show the following Thursday, July 2. Freshly Doug This Morning will air Thursdays from 9am-noon.

-œThe new show will blend news, views and current affairs with an eclectic mix of music and in-depth interviews with people in the news and movers and shakers in the community, Pollard said.

Pollard will present the show and has recruited Daren Pope (aka Kaye Sera) as producer.
The show will also include a regular segment about living sensibly and sustainably.
