New book on marriage equality

A new book on marriage equality, Speak Now: Australian perspectives on same-sex marriage, will be launched this month.

The book, edited by Victor Marsh, contains 40 essays by a diverse range of authors.

Contributors include Dennis Altman, Andrew Barr, Rodney Croome, Lynne Hillier, Crusader Hillis, Michael Kirby, Benjamin Law, Dorothy McRae-McMahon, Paul Martin, Wayne Morgan, Kerryn Phelps, Peter Tatchell, Tim Wilson, and Tim Wright.

Professor Baden Offord will launch the book on October 13 at 3.30pm at Southern Cross University’s Coop Bookstore in Lismore, New South Wales.

Former High Court justice Michael Kirby will launch Speak Now on October 16 at 3.30pm at Gleebooks in Glebe, Sydney in a joint launch with his memoir A Private Life.

In Queensland, PFLAG national spokeswoman Shelley Argent will launch the book on October 18 at The Avid Reader in Brisbane’s West End at 6pm.

In Victoria, Professor Dennis Altman will launch it on October 30 at Hares and Hyenas Bookshop in Fitzroy at 2pm.
