PLATINUM – CASCADA

This is an odd one: a ‘greatest hits’ album that doesn’t feature Cascada’s greatest (and only) Australian hit, the Gaga-lite Evacuate The Dancefloor. Instead, this two-disc package collects radio edits and remixes of the German dance act’s earlier, big-in-Europe singles. And the secret’s out, Australia: when not impersonating Gaga, Cascada are truly, wretchedly awful, plying their trade with tinny, cheesy covers of songs like Avril’s Sk8er Boi, Savage Garden’s Truly Madly Deeply and even Wham’s Last Christmas.
