Queer family album on show

Taking its title from a 1987 Smiths song, I keep mine hidden is a series of intimate photographs of queer photographer Drew Pettifer’s friends and lovers taken over the past two years. The lovingly presented book forms something of a diary-cum-queer family album, as Pettifer’s camera lingers on young men in bedrooms, bathrooms and other private spaces. Artist William Yang will launch the book at Firstdraft Depot, 13-17 Riley St, Woolloomooloo, Sydney, June 28, 5-7pm.
