Seeing double for Mardi Gras
Get ready to see double as ACON’s Young Women’s Project presents an event exploring alter-egos, secret identities and gender-bending through performance and visual arts.
Dangerous Doubles is a special Mardi Gras event for young lesbians and same-sex attracted women and their friends. Come along and check out work by several of Sydney’s most daring young artists. Be doubled-over by pair-ilous performances, boogie down to some breakneck beats, or submit your own work to the event.
There’s even a ‘Good To Be Bad’ best dressed award, so get your most deviant double denim or most eccentric evil twin on!
Dangerous Doubles is an all-ages, drug and alcohol free event, and is part of the 2012 Mardi Gras Festival program. Head to Serial Space, 33 Wellington Street Chippendale, from 6pm on Friday February 24. Admission is free.
