Slice of gay cinema history
Sydney author and gay activist Robert French will introduce November 14 and 18 screenings of the groundbreaking 1961 film Victim at the Sydney Art Gallery. In one of the first films to deal directly with homosexuality, Dirk Bogarde plays a married lawyer who confronts a blackmailer after the suicide of his secret male lover.
