Frontrunners to frock up

Frontrunners to frock up

Frock up and get stretching, because the Sydney Frontrunners Little Black Dress fun run will be held on Saturday, February 19 at Centennial Park.

The event aims to raise $50,000 for Camp Goodtime. The camp, run by Prince of Wales Children’s Hospital, gives holidays for children affected by HIV.

Like a rabble of fashionistas late for a parade, each runner will dash around the 4km course heading straight for the prizes table. Prizes will be awarded for best fundraising skills, costumes, cleavage, and more.

As always, the incomparable Joyce Maynge will be on hand to compere the day and announce winners, along with representatives from the Prince of Wales Hospital.

If 4km sounds like a stretch or black’s not really your colour, you can still enjoy the fun atmosphere on the day and cheer on participants as they cross the finish line.

And the running fun of the Mardi Gras festival doesn’t end there, with the Frontrunners hosting a 5km run/walk around Centennial Park on the morning of March 5 — this time, frocks not required. All abilities are catered for and there will be refreshments post-run.
