Pedalling for your prostate

The Riders on the Pedal for Prostate Firefighters’ Around Australia charity ride are nearing the end of their epic cross-country journey, with the 12-strong team scheduled to arrive in Melbourne, crossing the finish line at the MCG, on November 25.

The 15,000km ride, which began in Melbourne on October 31 alongside the banks of the Yarra River and so far has taken in NSW, Queensland, the Northern Territory and West Australia, is being completed in a total of 48 gruelling stages.

The major beneficiary of the ride is leading men’s health charity the E.J. Whitten Foundation, whose aim is to increase the awareness of prostate cancer and raise funds for research into the disease.

The charity is being represented on tour by Chief Executive Officer Ted Whitten Jnr.
