Fifty-seven-year-old American actress Jane Badler, best known for her role as the rodent-guzzling alien Diana in ’80s sci-fi series V, has undergone something of a mid-life reinvention as a coquettish torch singer. This, her second collaboration with Melbourne band Sir, continues in the theme of 2008’s The Devil Has My Double. Badler delivers songs like I Don’t Trust Women and I Want a Lot of Boys to Cry at my Funeral with a knowing wink. She’s in fine voice throughout (and she looks particularly ravishing on the sumptuous CD sleeve).
