  1. Staying at home helping my nan with house work, renovatining her house, taking care of my dog, spending time with close friends, my fiancé has work, mardi gras has lost it’s meaning of gay rights and is now just an over the top waste of money which does nothing to make the government step up and help the LGBTI communities of Australia. Plus if I wanted to spend money to be around a buch of other gay people, I would jus have my gay friends over and buy drinks and drink at home. I always wanted to go, but no longer. It has no meaning anymore. It is all about showing off not making things change. Ever wonder why we have such a bad name? Stereotypes. And what is the biggest and loudest way to conform to those stereotypes? Mardi gras. Most people think of gays as flamboyant in your face queers. Mardi gras sadly proves their point.

  2. staying away from an over commercialized publicity event that lost it’s origins of a protest calling for calling for an end to discrimination against homosexuals in employment and housing, an end to police harassment and the repeal of all anti-homosexual laws – it’s a shame we still have a lot of the issues but not to protest

  3. Watching episodes of Dexter at home because we are forced into social isolation after being rejected by the world because we don’t fit into their stands of what they consider ‘normal’ to be’.
