Time ticking to comment on ALP draft policy

If you are a member or supporter of the Australian Labor Party you have only 48 hours left to have your say on the ALP Draft Platform.

The Labor Party has opened its Draft Platform up for consultation and it’s available for comment until 5pm this Sunday.

The document sets out the major policy positions of the party, and will be debated at the National Conference in December.

The Draft Platform reaffirms “Labor’s commitment to maintaining the definition of marriage as currently set out in the Marriage Act” (clause 120), and maintains the current ALP position supporting a “nationally consistent framework” for relationship recognition.

ALP members and supporters are invited to comment on the Draft Platform.

To make a submission on the ALP’s policy on the Marriage Act go to www.alp.org.au/australian-labor/our-platform/make-a-submission and select “Chapter 9: A fair go for all Australians”.
