Turtle Cove to be refurbished

With the Turtle Cove Resort & Spa outside Cairns recently changing ownership, the resort’s new owners say they are committed to continuing its legacy as the GLBT community’s favourite holiday destination in tropical North Queensland.
Turtle Cove has long been highly regarded as a tourist destination for local, Australian and international gay and lesbian travellers, due to its secluded beachfront position midway between Cairns and Port Douglas.
Following the resort’s recent sale, the new owners will soon embark on an extensive refurbishment program involving the public areas, room upgrades and tropical landscaping. They also plan to launch a number of marketing, sales and community initiatives specifically to benefit the GLBT community. The resort will continue to welcome friends and supporters of gay and lesbian travellers.
The previous directors of the Turtle Cove Resort & Spa would like to thank the many thousands of guests and who have visited over the past 16 years, and say they look forward to the resort’s continued success.
