ARQ

ARQ has a huge night planned on December 31, with some of Sydney’s best DJs, plus special guest DJ Johnny M (UK) on the decks in the main arena. DJs Frankie Shin, Rob Davis, Luke Leal and Dom De Sousa will also be on-hand to provide some tunes. Pre-sale tickets are $45 available from ARQ Sydney or BANG Clothing store. Tickets are available on the door on the night; $50 for members/industry card holders or $55 for non-members.

 

Chunky

Chunky is back for another hairy, woofy, and huge New Year’s Eve party at the Oxford Art Factory. If you have never been to a Chunky, and like your beefy blokes, furry studs, cute cubs, and hot daddies, then this is where you should be on New Years Eve.

Boasting some of the hottest bear DJs in Sydney (including Brett Austin, George Roussos, Scottie Lupton, and Frankie Shin), it’s also welcoming back Matt Effect from his recent adventures in the US.

Imperial

It’s New Queers Eve over at the Imperial Hotel in Erskineville which will host five hot male strippers and DJs in the Cabaret room (tickets $15). Palms

DIVA award-winning drag performer Doreen Manganini is joining Palms on Oxford for New Year’s Eve. Not only will she be singing, but Manganini will lend that quick wit to ensure there are not many topics that aren’t covered during the evening’s celebrations. She is well known for lending her humour and political incorrectness to ensure a little laughter at her performances. After a five year hiatus from Palms, she will finish this year performing for one night only.

 

Tropical Fruits

Tropical Fruits is the gay and lesbian NYE festival held in Lismore, northern New South Wales. Expect DJs, drag queens, camping, a massive New Year’s party and lots of fun recovery options for this year’s Beyond Atlantis-themed event.

Stonewall

Add a bit of mystery to your New Year’s celebrations and celebrate at the Stonewall Hotel with a masquerade party. There will be three levels of fun with hosts Tora Hymen and Liam Lightning. Tickets are on sale now. Presale $20 or $10 VIP.

Out! Cairns

See out 2012 at the gayest NYE party in Cairns at the Buddha Bar, right in town on the Esplanade, with two massive balconies to watch the fireworks from. There will be two DJs, two rooms, two performances, two balconies and entry is $10. DJs Been and Trent E will be playing all your favourite anthems of the past year and from further back. Don’t forget to “dress gay”.

Sporties

The Sportsman Hotel will hold a circus-themed NYE event, called Under the Big Top. $12 entry covers all three bars and entertainment by DJs Doug MC, Merlin and Nedd E.Bear. There will also be a special New Year’s show.

Turtle Cove

Queensland’s hottest gay beach resort near Cairns will party on NYE with Vicki Vegas’ live cabaret show Diamonds Are Forever and feature Melbourne’s DJ Mike Evans for its pool party. Accommodation is fully booked over New Year’s, but party entry is still available.

Wickham Hotel

The Wickham will host Temptation NYE 2012 to see out the year. In the main room, ‘Heaven’, you can expect queer anthems, uplifting vocal house and current classics with DJs Ish, Sammy Superstar and ACRAIG.

There will also be three heavenly production shows featuring the likes of Kelly Roberts, Imogen Wilde, Skye Blue and some sexy dancers. Up on level one, ‘Hell’, there’ll be tribal, underground house and trance

with DJs Fradge, Master Sergeant and Arsee. Best costume winners will take home one of four VIP passes to Big Gay Day. It’s $15 entry and will run 8pm-5am.

The GH 

St Kilda staple the GH are making it easy for everyone to come and party into 2013 with free entry to their Seven Sins of Summer party on NYE. There will be two huge shows and DJs James Fraser and Mark Robbo. Doors open at 8pm.

South Yarra establishment Love Machine will be seeing out 2012 with a bang, literally. Their Bang party will feature DJ Alex Taylor and a special 1am show.

The Peel

Get set to hit dance floor of Collingwood’s most pumping gay establishment with a huge line-up of entertainment on NYE, including DJs Argonaut, Bunnie Deane, Jay Z and Mark Robinson. Also expect appearances from Miss Candee, Rita, Sue Ridge, Crystal DeCanter and Dale. Pre-sale tickets are available now for $20 at The Peel cloakroom. Tickets at the door are $25. It kicks off at 9pm.

 

Poof Doof

Having just turned one-year-old, the always naughty Poof Doof are ready to celebrate again with their New Years Gay party on January 1. The huge line-up includes the Freemasons (UK) and DJs Kitty Glitter and Alex Taylor.

Prince of Wales

St Kilda’s prince is looking for queens for their POW NYE party featuring Montie and Paris in a full production show with their sexy male and female dancers. It’s free entry before 10pm and you can party to the wee hours with a closing time of 7am.

 

Rogue’s Finale

What do you get when you mix Rogue DJs, Daywash DJs, international DJs, some of musics biggest names and two of Melbourne’s best venues? You get a terrific double feature on New Year’s Day and night. This will be Rogue’s last hurrah, starting with The Day Party at The Motel, featuring two levels and a massive outdoor area so you can enjoy great summer tunes. Special guest Luciana will fly in to rock the Motel Rooftop plus UK producers Liam Keegan and Wayne G.

The Night Party at Trak in Toorak will feature three rooms of sound. DJs Sean Mac (USA), Wayne G and Johny Blue Boy have already been announced, with more to come.
