You’re never alone: Monash Uni

Monash University students, staff and alumni have shared their experiences of homophobia and coming out for the It Gets Better Australia online video project.

The five-minute video features over a dozen people who share some harrowing stories including suicide but it finishes off with the positive message, ‘it gets better’.

More than 8,500 people have watched the video since it was posted last Saturday, August 18.

“You’re never alone,” one women says.

“There is someone going through exactly what you’re going through and it’s so important to make sure that people that.”

The It Gets Better Australia project began last September and features online videos
