Celebrate 10 years of the Radical Faeries
Along with members of the Fresh Fruits youth group, ACON Northern Rivers will distribute International Day against Homophobia (IDAHO) pledge cards on Thursday, May 17 to encourage family, friends and colleagues to visit the IDAHO NSW website at www.idaho-nsw.com and pledge to become an ally in helping spread messages of hope to LGBTIQ youth.
IDAHO NSW is a community initiative made up of volunteers from LGBTIQ individuals and organisations dedicated to supporting equal rights for all.
Visit the site and you can also find helpful links, organisations and IDAHO resources. For more info on our local IDAHO activities, please call ACON Northern Rivers on our tollfree number 1800 633 637.
Yoooooo hooooooo! This is the call-out for the Radical Faeries 10th anniversary celebration on Sunday, April 29. Come by noon for a ritual, followed by a picnic on the moon meadow. Please bring a plate of food to share.
People are invited to stay on for a film night and make a weekend of it. Please let the Faeries know for catering and accommodation purposes. Dress with great beauty and wonder in your finest fancy frippery — as you always do, of course!
For more information: Australian Radical Faeries, PO Box 495 Nimbin 2480 NSW, 02 6689 7070, www.ozfaeries.com or ozfaeries@yahoo.com
