The Dr Tania Lienert annual memorial lecture, “We Won’t Be Silenced, Feminism and Social Justice,” will be delivered by Sophie Cunningham on Thursday August 2 at the Whitebrook Lecture Theatre, Southern Cross University, Lismore. Starts 6pm.

Cunningham was recently appointed chair of the Literature Board of the Australia Council and is an author, publisher, editor, feminist, educator and social commentator. All are welcome to this free event, for more information you can contact ACON Northern Rivers on 02 6622 1555.

Fresh Fruits Youth Group is a 25 and under gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) social support network welcoming GLBTI young people and their friends living in the Northern Rivers. Come and meet new friends, express yourself and enjoy creativity, events and adventures in a safe and inclusive environment. Saturday, July 21 is the next DELICIOUS party at the mighty Lismore City Bowling Club. After their absolutely amazing second birthday extravaganza in June, this month Frou Frou Productions will kick-start their third year of soiree’s. They will welcome resident DJs ELSCORCHO and Craig Wilson (AKA 1iSAMURAi) back to the decks.

Team Frou Frou looks forward to seeing you on the friendliest, most inclusive dance floor on the North Coast. The night kicks off at 9pm and goes through till 2am. Entry is $13 before 11pm and $15 after. For more details contact [email protected].
