SLPA – WAQK wants you

WAQK is the Sydney Leather Pride Association’s (SLPA) women’s group and was set up after the SLPA women’s forum in July last year.

WAQK stands for Women And Queers of Kink and is a SLPA community-based group where women can come together in a safe place to learn and to play.

Education workshops that WAQK will be running include BDSM etiquette, tools and toys explained, rope work, fire play, piercing, role-playing, basic spanking, and flogging and caning.

All of our workshops will be held by experienced members of our community, and you will be shown correct, appropriate and safe methods of play. Play space etiquette is one of no attitude, and we have a no intoxication policy.

Those failing to comply will not be welcomed in the play space.

Our first play party is being held on June 12.

The first hour of all play parties will be novice hour, giving everyone a chance to learn the ropes from the many generous experienced women in our community. Come along and build your network of friends, while having a safe and fun time.

Play spaces and workshops will be held in venues that are easily accessible and will have a cover charge. WAQK members will be kept informed of upcoming events. They can bring guests, but please let us know in advance so we can maintain a safe, friendly and relaxed play environment.
