Gay Christmas is coming

Gay Christmas is coming

With only a few days until the start of Gay Christmas, there’ll be glitter in the air and lots of people purchasing that perfect outfit. As well as the city events, there is lots happening in western Sydney.

This year it’s a two-week festival with Fair Day and the launch combined, kicking off this Sunday at Victoria Park, Camperdown. If you’ve never been before, it’s a great day out. Bring a picnic lunch or buy food and drinks there and enjoy the sunshine with your friends and family.

We will have a western Sydney stall, Gay and Lesbian Services in Western Sydney, handing out our new resource Know Your Local.

Knowing your local isn’t just about the closest place to have a drink. It’s about knowing your local sexual health clinic as well as the contact details to make an appointment.

We’ll also have other information about community groups and services in western Sydney.

Riverside Theatre is hosting part of the Mardi Gras Film Festival with some great titles being shown. For more information, visit www.riversideparramatta.com.au.

If you want to march in the parade, it’s not too late to sign up. The Warehouse is working on a float and you can call them on 4721 8330 and ask for Ben.

These are just a few of the things going on during Mardi Gras season. To find out more, visit Sydney Star Observer at www.starobserver.com.au or Mardi Gras at www.mardigras.org.au.
