Fruity fun

After all the fuss of Christmas, a huge dose of partying is now in order. Living in the gorgeously eclectic area of Northern Rivers, the biggest queer extravaganza event is on my door step.

Tropical Fruits has been hosting a New Years’ party for 22 years and it just keeps getting louder, prouder, sexier and stronger.  Three amazing parties and other activities will be held over the new years period and for full details of times, places and tickets visit www.tropicalfruits.org.au.

This year, as part of ‘Gold’, Tropical Fruits new years’ party, will be a specifically designated youth space called ‘The Vault’. Designed by Fresh Fruits – a local GLBTIQ group – it is promising to be an experience glittered with gold.

To enter ‘The Vault’ it will be necessary to climb through bars and twist to avoid security lasers. Once you are in the grungy gaol atmosphere, it will take you to a partying place you have never been before. The Vault will be a place for the young to break free of their shackles and be liberated into the new year
DJ’s Pete Underwood and Sammy G will be pumping out the tunes to get you dancing and gold plated pole dancers will writhe and glisten to entertain the crowd.

If you’re a young queer GLBTIQ and looking for a great new year, you should seriously consider this event as it will be a night remembered long after resolutions are forgotten.

Don’t miss out, get your Tropical Fruits New Year ‘Gold’ tickets from www.tropicalfruits.org.au or by ringing (02) 6622 6440.

Lastly don’t forget if you or a buddy needs assistance throughout the night ACON Rovers will be around the place. Don’t hesitate to approach us. Rovers are not involved in security and are only concerned with your health and well being. If you see a bright pink vested Rover and want to know any information about safe partying please stop us for a chat.
