Western Ho’s and stuffed turkeys

Ho ho ho, it’s Christmas time again. Are we just being jolly or talking about the stage acts?

I have never been one for Christmas. I’ve never had a real reason to celebrate, and the thought of doing Christmas spots makes me cringe.

However, t

his year the tables have turned and I’m feeling a little excited, just like Big Kev. Hopefully I don’t get a sudden heart attack from all the excitement. 2010 sees me celebrating my very first Christmas with my son. OMFG. Will it be all turkey and pudding, or will the fireworks begin?

There is so much Christmas cheer being splurged around the west. Most companies are having Christmas parties and all the social dances are bringing on the red, white and green.

First cab off the ranks for 2010 was The Polly’s Club last Saturday. Unfortunately I was unable to attend as I was held back for some overtime, and boy was I over it after that.

This Friday, December 10, Jupiter’s Nightclub are having their Christmas celebrations. Happy Hour from 9-11pm will surely have you on the floor like a paralytic drunk. Now that is a Christmas celebration to remember!

Heaven Social Dance is celebrating its final HO HO HO this Saturday, December 11, with two star-studded shows at the Northmead Bowling Club. But don’t be afraid people, it’s not the last of Heaven.

After celebrating our third birthday in June this year we are ever so excited to announce we have locked in all our dates for 2011, which will see us running on the last Saturday of every second month.

So come on down to the cheapest night out in Western Sydney ($7 before 10pm) and join us in celebrating our final and most memorable Christmas. You’ll never know what you’ll see — dancing turkeys, up-the-duff drags, drags with bad flatulence and a whole lot more.

Friday, December 17 sees the newest GLBT Night of the inner west, Crystals at Canterbury, celebrate its Christmas Party at the Canterbury Bowling Club. I have yet to attend the night, but heard it goes off with a bang.

Last but not least, it’s the Dolphins Christmas Dance. This will be on Saturday, December 18 with a Naughty’n’Nice Christmas Show. Will they be naughty? Will they be nice? Or will they be just plain vile? Head to Parramatta Golf Club this Saturday and see for yourselves. Entry $10.

For those of you who like to party in the ‘Gong, as I do, come along to Castros Nightclub. Join two of Western Sydney’s biggest has-beens — myself and the re-vamped Rusty Boxxx — as we take to the stage to help our sexy Wollongong friends celebrate Christmas in true Western style.

Free entry before 11pm, 5 Victoria St, Wollongong. GLBT nights on Saturdays only.

Drag gossip: Western Sydney is moving into the 21st century with many of our performers and organisations getting brand new websites. In the last few weeks we have announced that the following sites will up and running within the coming weeks.
