Where are all the men in winter?

Look for men at the footy during winter

The leaves have fallen off the trees and the cold air is in. Yes, winter is upon us once again and, just like every year, it seems all the hot eligible men have all but vanished with the sun.

It seems every year when these three cold months comes around the only hot thing you can wrap yourself in is your doona, not another man’s arms.

Well don’t despair and let your libido go cold, they are out there … you just got to know where to look.
It may come as a shock but some guys go to sport stadiums – even when Kylie isn’t touring. There are heaps of guys who don’t fit the stereotype and enjoy a sporting match. Rugby, soccer or footy, there are various choices you can go and watch.

Most play indoors and have hot food on offer. Plus, if you do the math, where one in 10 guys play for our team, with thousands of guys in one area, the odds are with you. After all, it’s all about men cheering other men on to get a hand on their balls.

But if cheering at men in shorts isn’t your thing perhaps you could try the places where the arty types get out of the cold, so check out your local museum or art gallery.

Guys tend to flock indoors when it’s chilly so why not get some culture and find your own real piece of art walking around. One hint, they’re usually the ones who stare at the male nudes for a little longer than everyone else.

But if you want to heighten your success rate then get your rainbow flag out and check out your local community evenings.

Bingay is always a good place to meet a potential new love and raise some money for ACON. And then there are the hundreds of events each year you can volunteer for – therefore searching for love while giving back to the community. You are indoors, warm and have a guaranteed conversation starter.

But be careful – there is a trap. A lot of people do go to the movies of theatre at this time of year and that may seem like an attractive place to lure yourself a new electric blanket. Chances are this won’t work. It is incredibly difficult to meet someone when you are fixated on the action taking place on the screen or stage in front of you.

And there is no way you can start up a conversation mid-way through the second half.

So take heed – just because it is wonter that doesn’t mean you can’t meet that someone special. Granted, there aren’t as many people strutting around clubs without a shirt .. but it is possible.
It is just a matter of knowing where to fish and what bait to put on your hook.

experienced gay men know that the economic rent sharers shack up in winter for security, and most relationship breakups occur early summer when it’s safe again to stay out all night.

Interesting comment Peter,But Major Hospitals i.e St Vincents workers Dr’s & Nurses jobs become flatout “In Summer” as the all the loonies come out to fight and turn the streets into bloodbaths as their attracted to warmer conditions.
