The Sydney Convicts launched into a double header at their home ground at Rose Bay on Saturday.
After two rain-drenched matches they broke even, losing their first match but retrieving glory with the second game.

The firsts put up a valiant struggle against the strong and experienced Mosman side, but still couldn’t wrestle a win. They went down 10-nil.

After a short break and a deterioration of weather conditions, the seconds took to the field against UNSW. A torrid encounter ensued which saw the Convicts rise up and score a 10-nil victory against the university team.

It was classic old-school rugby, Convicts club president Charlie Winn said. Hard-fought games in the mud and rain. Awesome fun.
