Spring Fling offers you the idyllic way to slip into the new season.

The first Spring Fling will be held at the five-star Shangri La The Marina at Cairns from 28 to 31 August.

Couples, friends and singles are welcome at this exclusive three-night Gayaway boasting spectacular events, entertainment and activities.

The organisers, OnQ Event Management, who have an eight-year record producing and managing high-end corporate events, have created Spring Fling specifically for the gay community.

Research proved there was a need for an exclusive event, offering an alternative to clubs and bars, where guys can mix and mingle in a casual, but elegant environment, and as experienced event producers, we know how to achieve this, OnQ’s Tim Fifield said.

We are offering an amazing package, with lots of options. Guests can join in as much as they wish, or simply chill and enjoy the newly refurbished Shangri La, or Cairns and surrounds. It’s your Spring Fling and we want you to have the weekend you’re comfortable with.

That said, OnQ are offering a deal for accommodation, breakfasts, lunches, and events with entertainment, food and beverages included. The optional morning and afternoon Salt Shaker seminars, run by Salt Clinic Sydney, will be informal and interactive. At lunch, chill by the pool, grab a massage or join in cocktail-making classes and learn to make the Spring Fling.

The program is designed to keep the guys busy, meeting new people and having fun, but you can do as much or as little as you like, OnQ director Alex Lyus said.

We want to spoil our guests, so apart from our advertised program, we’ll have lots of surprises when we get to Cairns. Tim has created a fabulous framework with the four days themed, Earthborne, Waterborne, Fireborne and Airborne.

We’re following these concepts to create great experiences while giving guests the opportunity to get creative with costumes and styling if they choose.

At night, it’s pure party starting with the Earthborne Welcome Cocktails, where DJ Buck Naked will support the first entertainer off the new talent Spring Pad. Diva Katrina Barry will stun the audience with her stand-out voice as you enjoy Spring Fling cocktails, great wines and food by the pool.

A private marquee will host night two, the Waterborne Dance Party, welcoming lots of local guys and featuring lots of entertainment including DJs Sandi Hotrod and Buck Naked supported by percussionist Rob Morrish. iDRINX, spirit mixers are also included complimentary with great food, wine and beer. Courtney Act, Australia’s most glamorous diva, and others will have performed before the night is over.

Finally, the Fireborne Gala Dinner will be a three-course gourmet meal with beverages included as guests experience the slow burn grooves of Chanel Cole and Spook while they eat, drink and recover in an atmosphere guaranteed to spoil.

We have plenty of secrets up our sleeve, including great celeb guests, surprises, prizes and gifts. It’s a special weekend that establishes the reputation for Spring Fling events now and in the future, Fifield said.

OnQ welcomes direct enquiries from anyone wanting to fine tune their experience, including extending their stay.

We’ve secured a great rate for extensions with Shangri La, who are really excited -“ they literally can’t wait to welcome us and we have very strong support from the Cairns community and businesses as well, Lyus said.

OnQ is extending the June Early Bird Rate for registrations offering $100 off the standard booking rate for Spring Fling until Thursday 17 July. All details and registration link are available on the website -“ www.springfling.com.au. For specific enquiries contact Alex Lyus on 0403 227 001 or email alex@onqevent.com.au.
