Free self-defence course
Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Martial Arts group (GLMA) will hold a free self-defence course focusing on prevention of the dangers of Inner City life and the Mardi Gras season, upstairs at the Newtown Library. Attendees can learn self-defence “first aid” suitable for all those who want to become more streetwise and avoid danger in a short intensive course. The course will be a mixture of martial arts, common sense, and “quick answer” expertise. It will cater to beginners and all fitness levels, men and women. It will run from 12.15-2.15pm.
