Vintage art on display

An array of artists are participating in an exhibition organised by Port Phillip Housing Association (PPHA) to showcase the artistic talents of community housing residents as part of Social Inclusion Week (23 November – 1 December). One of them is Richard James, 82, a former social worker and father of four who first found an outlet for his creativity in making drag costumes for performances such as ‘The Baroness of Balaclava’ in venues like The Greyhound Hotel to get publicity for Vintage Men, the local group for older gay men. You can see works by James and other artists at BrightSpace in St Kilda.
