Dolly’s 9-5
Hi gang!
Every day we inch a little closer to summer and I can tell you now that I am more than ready. All those lovely boys walking around in short shorts – I’m moist at the thought.
Well, the next big thing coming our way is Halloween so get your costumes ready and if you have a party planned let me know and I’ll see if we can include it in the 9-5. It looks like some people have been wearing their costumes a little early this year – love you, Monte. With this in mind, if you’re in Melbourne this Monday night the girls are back onstage at the Prince of Wales. It’ll be one hell of a spooky night and it’ll be bloody good fun.

Spitfire
Melbourne
Sunday 4 November
It’s become synonymous with the party crowd that when Rogue Dance are putting on an event, it’s going to be a bloody good one.
Spitfire looks like it’ll be no exception with US diva Wynter Gordon performing her hits alongside the best DJs in the business. Expect the usual hot bodies everywhere you look and the odd surprise here and there. What I like is that although it’s like Willy Wonka for eye candy everywhere you look whenever they do have a party, for the most part it’s about having fun and not taking yourself too seriously; more dancing less pretension.
Get yourself down to Chaser’s Cup Sunday and you know you’ll backa winner.

Big Bingay
Paddington Town Hall
Friday, October 26
Bingay is almost as much a part of Sydney as the Opera House, alright I might be stretching a little, but it is iconic. Hosted by multi award-winning Tora Hymen (she made me write that) it really is bingo at it’s best. Not to be outdone, Tora’s barrel girl can sing, dance and entertain like no other, and has her own DIVA award to prove it. It’s been going since 1999 and has raised over $750,000 for ACON in that time.
This Friday is the last time the Big Bingay edition will be held at Paddington Town Hall. It’s weird and wacky, and not like any other bingo you’ve been to, so get along to the Paddington RSL and help raise that total to $1 million.

Brendan Maclean and Scott Spark
Judith Wright Centre
Saturday, October 27
It all seems to be happening at Brisbane’s JWC this month, with a one night only chance to see Brendan Maclean.
If you’re not quite sure who this piano lovin’, ukulele-smashing, full-voiced superstar is then you soon will, as he’s just finished filming a role in Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby. He’s all over the internet so have a little Google and check out his versions of Gaga and Madonna. Performing alongside Brendan is Scott Spark who will perform songs from both of his albums, so expect a fabulous night of award-winning original music and a few twisted pop diva favourites.
