Phoenix All Stars take it to the world
Our very own community cheer squad is heading to the home of cheerleading, Florida USA, to compete in the World Championships in April, following a thrilling win at the Nationals.
The Phoenix All Stars have just under five months to work on fitness as well as develop an international standard routine, a feat which is undeniably daunting, said team choreographer Dion Arlotta.
We got first place in every section, which was really amazing. We were kind of stunned, he said of the Australian finals.
One trick the All Stars have up their sleeve is help from the internationally renowned cheerleading coach, Rosemary Sims.
The All Stars are also looking to boost their chances by getting some fresh blood. The group will hold open trials in the coming weeks to try and find some new top notch dancers to join the squad in the tournament.
