Seymour looks to the future of theatre

Former artistic director of the Australian Theatre for Young People, Timothy Jones, has been appointed general manager of the Seymour Centre.

Jones brings over a decade of experience to the role, having worked as the CEO of and director with ATYP since 1998, producing such works as Beatrice, The Musicians and Skate.
I am enormously excited at the prospect of carrying on the Seymour’s tradition of being a major player in Sydney’s cultural landscape, Jones said.

I look forward to building a diverse range of arts programs that keep the centre at the forefront of the Australian arts scene for the next 30 years.

The University of Sydney’s Deputy Vice Chancellor of External Relations, Professor Andrew Coats, said the appointment came after an extensive search.

We are delighted to welcome Tim and look forward to supporting him as he continues to build the artistic profile of the Centre, Coats said.
