Tickets still on sale for BGF auction fundraiser

THE Bobby Goldsmith Foundation Auction is back for 2014 with a new home at the sophisticated China Republic Restaurant in Sydney.

Guests will have the unique opportunity to bid on a range of over 40 fantastic prizes, many of which are luxurious, once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

MC on the night will be Angela Bishop (pictured above) from Channel 10, with Andrew Mercado and Romany Brooks as auctioneers.

Prizes on the include a framed and original Marc Chagall lithograph print, or a private dinner for four with Sydney state independent MP Alex Greenwich at NSW Parliament House.

The opportunities continue with tickets to the grand final of the Bingham Cup in August, a masterclass and dinner for six with Chef Miss Claire de Lune of Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon, or even a true slice of the Dykes on Bikes experience — where the winner will be invited to join the club for an upcoming ride with the president or vice president, or two tickets to join the club for high tea, two tickets to their Black and White Ball, and more.

Guests will also have the chance to bid on the chance to see the Strictly Ballroom musical at Sydney Lyric Theatre, with a pre-show dinner and a night at The Star plus learn how to samba and salsa.

Former High Court judge Michael Kirby will be a special guest on the night, especially for a live art performance of his portrait by Matteo Charles. One lucky guest will go home with this one-off and original portrait, signed by both the artist and Kirby himself.

For the past 30 years, BGF is often the friend people with HIV turn to in their hour of need or in moments of crisis — supporting men, women and even children living with HIV.
